Australian Reptile Park

The Australian Reptile Park (ARP) had a unique challenge; they needed a complete overhaul of their 300-page website, and they needed it before their busy school holiday period.

With a tight 3-month deadline to design and deliver, we created a brand new experience that championed their spirit of adventure. My role was to determine the approach that would ensure we met our deadline, set the creative direction and lead our design team, keeping the client engaged and excited along the way.

Fun, but functional; creating flexibility without visual compromise

One of the most important goals of the new site was to create an ecosystem that would align with the kids and young families who form the core audience, while making it easy for busy parents to make their decisions quickly and easily. By looking to their heritage logo for inspiration, we created a shiny new visual language that encapsulated their history through a modern interpretation, combined with seamless UX and packaged up in a high-performing CMS.

The ARP website will continue to grow as new exhibitions, shows, animals and facilities open. As a result, the site needs to be able to grow and flex as requirements change. Our modular design system approach made it simple to expand across all 300 pages, and provides firm foundations that can evolve as the park does.
